Friends of Troop 19, Inc. is a Massachusetts based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer‑run organization dedicated to supporting the core mission of Scouting America and strengthening local scouting programs throughout the Greater Weymouth Massachusetts area. Our work helps ensure that every Scout has the resources, opportunities, and community support they need to grow, lead, and thrive.
Through our fundraising efforts, we strive to provide vital funding to local Scout Troops allowing them to offer programs, train leaders, maintain facilities, and offer financial aid, ensuring life-changing Scouting experiences remain affordable and available to every eligible child in our area.
We were founded in 2026 by 3 dedicated Scouting volunteers and alumni from Scouting America’s Troop 19 Weymouth MA (serving greater Weymouth & Braintree Massachusetts): John Cox, President (Troop 19’s 45th Eagle Scout), Brian D’Amico, Treasurer (Troop 19’s 115th Eagle Scout) and James McKnight Sr., Director and Clerk (Troop 19’s 19th Eagle Scout).
