Founded by 3 Eagle Scouts and volunteer leaders from Scouting America’s Troop 19 in Weymouth, Massachusetts, we strive to continue the work started back in 1967 by the founders of Troop 19 including our longtime founding Scoutmaster Jerry Rudolph.
Organization Purpose
Friends of Troop 19 is a volunteer organization that will support the core mission of local scouting programs. The mission of scouting programs is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices by instilling values of the Scout Oath and Law, developing character, leadership, and citizenship through outdoor adventure and service, and making Scouting accessible to all youth.
Friends of Troop 19 will raise money in order to provide vital funding for local scout Troops to offer programs, train leaders, maintain facilities, and offer financial aid, ensuring life-changing scouting experiences remain affordable and available to every child.
